Chapter 6

KASHISH

I had never seen such a beautiful place in my life. I looked outside the window. The view of Manikaran and the green valley scenery were something else. I stuck my head out of the window to feel the breeze. "Wow, I love this !"

My eyes were pinned to the white mountains passing by. "This is heaven," I exclaimed with joy. "Could you please stop shouting?" the boy said from the next window. I looked at him with my sharp, annoyed eyes. " Mind your own business." He quickly pulled his neck back inside the window.

"You know what? I've always wanted to talk to you," My smile instantly dropped after hearing Satvik's annoying voice. I went back inside the bus. "This is the 15th time, dude, you've said this to me. " I grunted, giving him a dead glare. I was missing Riya. I didn't know why that bitch got typhoid right before this trip.

"I like you," I sighed. Why the hell was I sitting with him?

"So?" I yelled, frustrated.

"Listen, you moron, I don't like you, and I already have a boyfriend," I said in annoyance. "Stop bothering me—end of discussion." I turned and looked outside the amazing bus. "It feels!" I giggled, enjoying the passing view, and then suddenly the driver lost his grip on the steering wheel—and boom.

My vision got blurred for a few minutes. For a few minutes, I didn't understand what happened to us. where am i?

"Please, somebody help me—please!" I screamed. After an hour, I finally found myself hanging on a fucking twig in the ditch. Deva, why always me? I didn't know why I always attracted troubles. "Kashish, are you there?" The faded voice made me roll my eyes.

My phone was also hanging like its owner, but my phone still enjoyed this adventure. My playlist was still playing on a loop. "Please hang on, darling. I'll surely save you." My eyes flickered with fear. Bitch, save your ass first.

"Yes, I'm here. Can you please stop repeating my name and save me?" I yelled. I closed my eyes, as I couldn't bear to see myself in this horrible state. I was exhausted while hanging like a fruit . My hands started to hurt. It had been two hours of hanging like this. I felt like this was the end of my life.

"Save me, you assholes!" I shouted. I don't want to die. tears were rolling down my cheeks. I haven't completed my studies yet. I haven't had sex yet, and what about French kisses? " Don't look at the bottom, you bitch", I mistakenly dropped down my head. The depth of the gulf was quite scary.

"Acha chalta hoon, duaanon mein yaad rakhna", I rolled up my neck on my phone. Even the universe was saying goodbye to me. My grip on the twig was getting lost. "No, no, please don't", I gripped the twig tightly until my finger got knuckled. I can't be with you, sweetie.

I swallowed hard. My grip on the twig was about to loosen. My heart came into my mouth. In the next few seconds, my body would surely become a dead body. Oh God!

This might be the end of my fucking life. This might be the end of my fucking life.

Tears were rolling down my cheeks. "I love you, baba", My hands slipped from twigs, and I was about to fall, but suddenly I felt arm wrapped around my waist. I closed my eyes for 5 minutes, thinking about the moment . I could feel the warm nostril air from behind on my shoulders. "Are you okay, Kashish?"

"Male voice." I opened my eyes. My body was swaying like a feather in the air. "W-who is this?" I could feel strong arms around my waist. "Don't be scared. You're in my arms, and I won't let you go," a male husky voice echoed in my ears.

I turned my head toward him, watching him from the corner of my eye. "You can turn around. I will carry you up gently," he said, and I curled my lips. "No! If I do, I'll fall straight down into the ditch," I said in a trembling voice.

"Don't be scared." His cheek pressed against mine, and I didn't know why my heart stopped. "I'm right behind you, and I will save you," he promised. His words made me believe in him .

I somehow managed to spin myself, and he did what he said. Suddenly, his grip slipped from my waist. I flinched, but somehow he managed to grab my waist again and yank me to his chest.

I clenched his t-shirt tightly into my fists. Our eyes met and deepened. No words for him. He wore a gray t-shirt. I had never seen a dusky man who looked so damn handsome. His tanned face and the scratches on His cheeks and left eyebrow made him even sexier. His hair was messy like my life, but his beard had some kind of perfection.

"Are you alright?"

"Couldn't you have come earlier? You are a soldier. You should take civilian responsibility. I could have died", I slammed at him while his eyes were pinned at me. Actually, he was staring at me. "Stop staring at me"

"I'm not staring at you," he said dryly. "I'm thinking about how far you would fall into the ditch if you let go from here." He threatened me. What? Is he here to save me or kill me?

"Are you mad or something? You are supposed to save me, and instead of that, you're threatening me?" I said with an irked expression. He closed his eyes in irritation. "You know what? I will file a complaint against you," he opened his eyes and looked at me.

"Fair enough to me. I'm going to take my hand off your waist." He must be kidding me. "Go and complain if you survive," he growled. "Bloody asshole." I turned my neck to the left side .

"I can hear you?" He chuckled. "So what?" I yelled.

"Ahh, sna....sna....snake." I got startled and pulled myself closer to his chest. "Save me, soldier, what the fuck are you waiting for?" I screamed. "But I'm an ass-hole, so how can I help you?" he said near my earlobes. This guy is insane and arrogant as well.

"What do you want me to do?" I tilted my chin up and looked at him, still pressed against his torso. "Should I beg you to save my life?" He looked at me. Deva, what fierce eyes he had. Yellow like a roaring tiger.

"You can do one simple thing." I raised my eyebrow. "Just shut your fucking mouth," he said in a commanding tone, and I hated it. "Hold me tighter, otherwise..." He smirked when I gripped him mouth tightly, as if my dear life depended on him. His deo had an impeccable fragrance.

Fuck! I sank into his arms. His abs were perfectly shaped, and I could feel them through his t-shirt. I was lost in his sexy torso. I turned my gaze to the snake, and he gripped its hood with his fucking hand .

"I can't take it." I hid myself in his protective embrace. I'd nearly had a death experience, and after seeing his actions, I was in shock.

RANVIJAY

Is that really you? But how is this possible? I was confused by her blue eyes. Her hair was waving like a feather in the air. Her grip on my t-shirt tightened until her nails dug into my shoulders.

My rough hand touched her thin, delicate waist. Her skin was creamy. She wore a white crop top with a white long skirt. She was chewing her lips in fear. One of her hair strands fell on her face, and she was trying hard to flip it, but she couldn't. I had never seen such a beautiful girl who grabbed my eyes like she was the only one I wanted to see in this world.

'Maula mere maula ' was playing on a loop when I had her in my arms so close that I was sure she could hear my racing heartbeats. I smiled seeing her struggle with her hair. Major, stop staring at her. You're here to save her, not drown in her.

"Are you mad or something? You are supposed to save me, and instead of that, you're threatening me?" she said with a gruff voice. I could tell that she wasn't the easy type of girl. I mean, she was about to die, but her tone still had a roar.

"You know what? I will file a complaint against you," I opened my eyes and looked at her. I don't like it when someone tries to threaten me. "Fair enough to me. I'm going to take my hand off your waist." She narrowed her eyes in shock. "Go and complain if you survive." She was hell gorgeous and annoying as well.

"Bloody ass-hole," she murmured. She thought I hadn't heard her barely audible voice. "I can hear you," I smirked. "So what?" she yelled. She can't be her. She has eyes the color of that anklet girl's, but her eyes have peace, while this girl's eyes are mischievous.

She is too noisy as well, and I don't like people who are chatterboxes. I wanted to shut her thin voice up. "Ahh, sna... sna... snake," she screamed, drawing into my chest and embracing me so tightly.

I leaned my neck down to see her. I'd never let any other girl touch me like this. I pressed her tighter against me. "Save me, soldier! What the fuck are you waiting for?" she yelled.

"But I'm an ass-hole, so how can I help you?" I lowered my head and whispered into her ear. She sighed. She must be thinking that I'm insane. "What do you want me to do?" " She tilted her face up, locking her big blue eyes with mine. "Should I beg you to save my life?"

"You can do one simple thing." She raised an eyebrow, her nose scrunching, and another chuckle slipped down my throat at the sight of her. "Just shut your fucking mouth." She was pissed off, and I could see it on her gorgeous face. She clenched her jaw in irritation.

"Hold me tighter, otherwise...!" I said sarcastically, and she gripped me tighter. Did she just touch my abs? I could feel her touch. Her warm breath skimmed my chest. She smelled like a fresh daisy, and I found myself drowning in her scent.

Major, stop smelling her and kill the snake first. I quietly moved toward the snake and gripped its hood. She flinched at my action and went unconscious in my embrace. A humorless smile appeared on my lips. "Ranvijay, are you there?" Arjun's faint voice echoed in my ears, breaking my thoughts.

"Yeah. Pull the ropes up!" I shouted, gripping her waist tighter to make sure she wouldn't fall. Finally, I reached the top and held her in my arms while sitting on the ground. "Kashish, wake up." I caressed her cheek with my palm. "Kashish!!"

I was worried about her. "Is she okay?" Arjun asked. "I think she's exhausted," I replied, caringsing her forehead where she had a scratch. "Where are the other students?" I asked, rolling my eyes around.

"I sent them to the barracks, and the last two are sitting in our jeep," Arjun said, folding the ropes and placing them on the jeep. "I've already informed them that students need medical attention." I nodded at Arjun's words.

I picked Kashish up in my arms and walked toward the jeep. I placed her gently on the back seat, resting her head on the shoulder of the girl sitting beside her. "Take care of her," I said. She nodded and sat down .

It was 10 pm and I was sitting alone on a big rock surrounded by a river, puffing on my cigarette. "What was that?" I kept remembering the moment I met Kashish.

After 7 months, many things felt familiar. My heart was beating insanely, like it did earlier when I saved that anklet girl. The warmth and peace I felt in Kashish's embrace was exactly like what I felt 7 months ago. I was lost in her too, just like I was immersed in that anklet girl seven months ago.

Kashish had the same fragrance I smelled seven months ago. Her skin was as soft as that anklet girl's. Soft and smooth like cream. All I wanted was to taste her. I kept rubbing my lips, thinking about her.

What the fuck? Why can't she leave me alone? She's causing a fuss in my mind. Kashish is not the anklet girl, because Kashish is damn annoying, loud, and noisy as well. I've never been disturbed by any girl , but I think 2022 is an unlucky year for me. First, that anklet girl, and now Kashish, both are bothering me.

"Sir, your tea!" one of the officers said. I sighed. "Didn't I tell you that I wanted to be alone?" I yelled at him, casting my angry glare in his direction. "Sorry, sir." His hands started shivering. "Go," I waved him off.

I took out another cigarette and started smoking. I closed my eyes, but her face kept flashing in front of me. "Fuck!!" I opened my eyes. "You're there. It doesn't matter whether my eyes are closed or not." I was struggling with some undefined feelings.

"Leave me alone," I screamed. These feelings are scary. I hope she will, but do you really want it, Ranvijay? A little yes, but a big no.

KASHISH

"Where the hell am I?" I murmured, rolling my eyes all around. All I could see was the green sheet wrapped around me. I sat up on the bed. Is this a camp? But how did I end up here?

"What am I doing here?" I asked the officer who was dressing the wounds of another soldier. "You had an accident, that's why you're here," he replied curtly, his eyes still focused on the wound. What a dedicated army surgeon he was.

"But I'm not supposed to be here," I said, holding my head. It was hurting. "We were on our way to the training camp, so why did you guys bring me here?" I demanded, but the soldier didn't look back at me. "Where is your senior officer? I want to talk to him right now," I raised my tone.

"You can't connect directly to a senior officer," he replied in a harsh tone. I rolled my eyes in annoyance. "Why?"

"Listen, Officer. I want to talk to him right now," I got down from the bed. "Tell me, where is he?" He paused, giving me an annoyed glare. "Can you see him?" he pointed outside the camp. There was a man standing outside with his back facing me. "What's his name?"

"Major Ranvijay!" he said gruffly.

"Ask a limited question to him as he is a strict officer, might you regret it later?" he said, and I looked at him. Did he give me some kind of disclaimer about him?

I don't care if he is strict or rude. At least he might be better than him. That ass-hole who saved me while gripping me in his arms. Well, I don't need any disclaimers about his demeanor. Whoever he is, I can handle him, as I'm not afraid of anyone.
