Chapter 9

RANVIJAY

I had never had a pleasant morning before, like today. Paradise was right in front of me, and the beautiful angel was breathing next to me... sorry, not next to me. She was breathing into me!

I never admitted this, but I had fallen in love with Kashish at first sight. The obsession I felt for her was exactly the same as the one I had for that anklet girl. But I didn't want to accept my inner voice, as I couldn't undo my love for that anklet girl.

And what about your, would be wife, major?

Fuck, did I forget about her? When did you remember her?

That's why I sorted it out myself with the decision that I was going to be rude to Kashish until we stayed here together. My rudeness was the only way to keep my distance from her. On that day, when I was sitting alone near the river, I came to three conclusions.

I decided one thing: Stay away from her!!
I promised one thing: I wouldn't fall for her!!
I learnt one thing: Kashish will soon going to be injuries to my health!! So forget her!!

You've made so many promises to yourself, Major. Will you be able to fulfill all of them? My inner voice roared like my commanding officer. Of course I can. Stop bothering me, or I will make pieces of your tongue. My dominance and anger—I don't know when I will sort out my serious anger issues.

Seems impossible for you major!! can you please shut up.....

I was cuddling in a blanket when my rough hands made contact with muslin. Since when did my bed become so soft? I opened my eyes and found myself lying on a girl. "What the fuck?!" I sighed in amazement.

I was the type of guy who had never glanced at any girl, no matter how beautiful she was, except Kashish. She was different. Her eyes had a different allure. I'm fearless, and I can win any battle without being frightened.

I was scared of one thing—her eyes. Because they held the power to make me lose the battle. Shame on you, Major! My inner voice was more annoying than I was.

I was puzzled to see my arms wrapped around her thin waist—correction—her thin waist. My heart came to my mouth because my face was pressed against her chest, and my lips kept brushing the gap between her...!! I can't even say where the hell my rough lips got stuck.

Who dared to lie down on my bed? I bit my tongue when my eyes fell on her. Beast found beauty beside him. I couldn't believe my eyes. How could I hold myself? Someone, please tell me. My heart was beating like thousands of bells echoing in my ears. I could die of a mini-heart attack, for sure.

Her head was leaning down and about to fall, but I placed my palm to support it while my eyes were fixed on her face. She was in my embrace...!! No, no, I was in her embrace. I sighed for the 50th time in just 5 minutes.

Reminder hit - stay away from her!!

I tugged her head on the pillow and immediately sat on the bed. I started pressing my eyebrows. What the hell is she doing on my bed? I must say she is more courageous than others- I mean, no one has the courage to glance into my eyes directly but look at her. She is directly on my bed!! She is a natural disaster for me!! For sure!

Might be she was taking care of me. But did I ask her for help? I don't remember that. I bent my shoulder, and the movement made me sigh in pain. "Fuck!" I cursed under my breath, closing my eyes. I leaned toward the left-side corner table to grab my phone.

I double-tapped to unlock my phone screen. It was 3:45 AM. Sun was about to shine in a few hours. I placed the phone down when I suddenly heard some bells tinkling, which made me curious enough to turn around instantly.

Is she here? The tinkling sound was the same as the anklet I have. Am I going to meet her today? I rolled my eyes toward the camp exit. No one was there, making me sigh in disappointment. Did I get hallucinations again?

Captain Pranav gave me strong sedatives. The tinkling sound of the anklet echoed in my ears again. I rolled my eyes around the camp and realized the sound was coming from my bed. Damn!! Is she here? Her anklets were rustling on the bed like a child, and whenever she moved her legs, that pleasant sound jingled.

"Is Kashish the real anklet girl?" I zeroed in on her ankles. Bonus moment for me... She wore the anklet. I could barely see it as her long dress was hiding it. I leaned forward slowly toward her ankle.

Ranvijay, you can end the suspense! I was about to lift her dress off her ankle when I flinched as someone entered my camp. I looked over her waist. "Shhh, don't make a sound," I glared at him. It was Jack, my soldier. After hearing me, he nodded and sat in the corner near the exit.

"Good boy!" I smirked. When my eyes automatically met hers, my gaze got stuck on her lips. I first drank her in through my eyes and then swallowed my saliva down my throat. She was sleeping like an angel. I tasted her with my eyes from head to toe.

She tied her hair, but why? I love it when she flaunts her hair. I let go of my hand and pulled out her hairband. Her hair tumbled down as an instant reaction to my action. She kept fluttering her face, seeming like her hair was bothering her.

I leaned forward until I was mere inches away from her face and tugged her hair behind her ear gently. "You shouldn't be here," I whispered, caressing her cheek with my thumb. "I want to stay away from you," I continued, "because I don't want to betray the girl I love insanely."

"Yes, I was obsessed with that anklet girl until you stepped into my life", I closed my eyes. "You remind me about her every time...!!" I caressed her lower lip. The weather turned icy outside, but I felt fire in my whole body.

"I keep reminding myself that you are not her." I paused for a second. "That's why I started to be rude with you, but still, I can't manage to stay away from you," I added. "You cast some spell on me, didn't you?"

"I'm falling for you every day, harder and harder!" I leaned in closer. "Tell me, what should I do? Should I forget you? But how? Why do you have someone else in your life?"

My nostrils were filled with exotic jasmine, fruity and orange blossoms, and silky tuberose. She smelled erotic. I opened my eyes. I was just 5 fingers away from her. "I was hurt when you said you have a boyfriend", tears were rolling down on my cheeks. Now I understand that I can't get you.

Thank you for taking care of me. Did I say this? No. All I wanted was for her to feel my gratitude." I leaned forward until her warm breath hit my lips.

Stay away from her!! Alert popped up, but I ignored it like air and was still moving to her.

I wouldn't fall for her!! What about your promise, Ranvijay? My own words hadn't dared to stop me.

Kashish is soon going to be injuries to my health!! So forget her!! Stop you asshole. I opened my eyes. "Huhhh...huhhh," I leaned up my face to see right behind her. "Jack, can you stop barking?" I flatted my eyebrows, and he nodded.

I gulped my formed saliva. I shifted my jaw-drop gazes first on her eyes and then on her lips. Ranvijay, that's a bad idea!! (Inner voice ki maa ki...") - (Stop bothering me).

What if she woke up and slapped me? "Touch her, you asshole, you can't miss the chance," my heart screamed. I had never been nervous in my life, except for the day I stepped into boarding school. My eyes had one thing: DESIRE.

(Play Kabhi Jo Badaal Barse by Arijit Singh)

I curled my lips, making me sweat so hard. I sighed, closing my eyes. Her honey-filled lips were pulling me closer to her. I couldn't stop myself. I went near her lower lip and molded it into my mouth.

The moment was like a silence between thunderstorms. My tongue started tasting her lips honey. "Fuck!!" I touched fresh honey. delicious honey. I tried to be gentle, but deep inside I want to be passionate.

I slipped her lip in the blink of an eye. My heart started beating insanely. The next kiss was the kind that could break open the sky. I lifted her upper lip with my tongue and sucked it. I ended up breathing heavily.

My lips has her saliva and my saliva wet her lips. The kiss helped me moisturise my rough lips. Ranvijay, stop it. But why? I wanted her to know that I love her insanely.

Thank God she was in a deep sleep, otherwise, she would have killed me for sure. My gaze was fixed on her until Jack's bark broke her sleep. She yawned before opening her eyes.

"Aaaahh!" she screamed, but I covered her mouth with my palm. "Why are you screaming?" She widened her eyes. "Huhh, ugh," she wanted to speak.

"But on one condition," Her eyes narrowed. "Don't scream," I warned, and she nodded. I doubted her, as she was a cunning girl. "Why are you being so close to me?" Her first sentence.

"Why are you sleeping with me?" I sarcastically asked, making her widen her eyes. "Correction needed, Major. I'm not sleeping with you—I mistakenly fell asleep next to you." Wrath filled her voice. Smirking, I distanced myself and sat beside her.

"You had a fever last night, so I was helping you," Kashish said. "I'm not dying to sleep with you." She grimaced, sitting next to me. "I'm not that desperate or unfortunate, either," she added. My smirk made her roll her eyes at me. "It's not funny, Major," she said in annoyance. "I know."

"Then stop laughing," she grunted. "You could have called the doctor instead of staying with me." I growled. What are you doing, Ranvijay? Her eyes held aggression, and she would surely turn you to ashes.

"You are right, Major. I shouldn't have stayed here—my mistake," she said, flicking her angry glares at me. "But I was fulfilling the doctor's responsibility—that's what I learned from my profession," she added quickly. "But why?"

"I don't know why you count yourself on the doctor list—I mean, you are still an MBBS student, not a complete doctor." Kashish sighed in anger again. Seems like my words turned her on. She hid her face with her hands in annoyance. "I regret my decision," Kashish muttered.

"You don't deserve any kindness."

"You know what? I have never seen a thankless ass like you in my whole life." My eyes dipped to her lips. "I stayed with you, taking care of you the whole night without blinking an eye, and instead of showing gratitude—you're showing me attitude." She was pissed off.

Who express gratitude in words? I believe in action. I already kissed you- this is my style of showing my gratitude. "Out", I said.

"Sorry, what did you just say to me?"

"I said, get out." Kashish's jaw tightened in anger. She was offended—I could see that on her gorgeous face. "And make sure no one sees you," I added before turning my gaze back to the bed. All I could hear in the entire camp were her angry sighs.

"You know what? I'm not going to leave your camp like a thief," she snapped. I rolled my eyes at her. "You will regret this, Major," she threatened and was about to stand up, but before she could, I abruptly grabbed her waist, flipped her, and made her fall onto my bed.

I leaned over her. "What are you doing?" she shouted, but it was barely more than a whisper.

She tried to hit me, but I grabbed her fist before it could hit my face. Did she forget that I'm a soldier? But she was prohibited from knowing that I was a special forces officer. I pushed her hand down lightly and pressed her wrist against the empty side of the bed, clenching her fingers in my fist.

"Major, w-what...are—" she stammered. "Y-you can't use your training to dominate me." She tried hard to wriggle her hand out of my grip, but it was so fucking tight. "Leave me, or I will scream," she warned me again in a whisper.

"Shhh..." I hushed her, leaning forward until our faces were inches apart. "You are a soldier, but that doesn't mean you can do anything you want." Kashish mumbled, flicking her eyes around, searching for help.

She turned her gaze to Jack, and I followed her gaze. "Jack, please help me, save me from this asshole." She asked for help from Jack, but he turned his face. He immediately betrayed her. "Your dog is an ass just like you, who doesn't know how to respect a woman," she lectured.

"He only follows commands." Her eyes widened until they closed as I leaned forward and reached her ear. "Which are given by his commanding officer?" I whispered and she flipped her face to the opposite side instantly.

"Well, I'm not trying to act fresh with you." Her head turned toward me. "I just wanted to clarify something." She raised her eyebrow. Her heart beating loudly, and I was afraid of what if it could consume me.

"First, don't ever threaten me again like you did a few seconds ago. Second, don't raise your voice at me like you did a few seconds ago. Third, and most importantly—go to your camp without letting anyone know what happened here last night." I clarified in a cold tone.

She was flickering her eyes and constantly biting her lips. It seemed like she was nervous. "Did you get that?" She nodded twice. Definitely nervous. "May I go?" she asked in a low breath. "Sure! But after telling me your fragrance name." I asked, and she looked confused.

"Chanel – my perfume," she replied. "Nice perfume." I released her wrist, and she immediately walked out of my camp. I smirked, caressing my bed and smelling the sheet. All I had around me was her erotic fragrance.

She had stopped playing with Jack, reason he didn't help her save her from me. But this wasn't his fault. "Jack, come here," I said, and he ran toward me without wasting a second.

I sat down. "Did you apologize to her?" I asked, and he turned his face. Is he showing attitude to me? I sighed in annoyance. "Jack, you betrayed her—don't you think you need to apologize to her?" I growled, while my eyes automatically met Kashish's. She was playing football with fellow soldiers and her friends.

You are the reason I didn't help her!! Jack's inner voice broke my glare. "Are you trying to say that I'm the one responsible for all this?" He nodded. Damn this fucker!

"Go and apologize to her, or else I will shoot you straight in the head," I threatened him. His expression was like, "Of course, sir, why not?" He immediately turned toward her.

"Neeraj," I said, rolling my eyes at him. He was washing all the clothes. Today was his turn. "Take it." I took off my combat t-shirt and threw it near him. "Sir, your jacket is missing." Of course. Kashish has that missing jacket. But I can't ask her to return it.

"Forget about the jacket, I lost that one." He nodded in response.

KASHISH

"I don't want to talk to you, Jack," I growled, playing football. "You betrayed me that day." I ignored him, but he was still roaming around me. "You are a traitor, so please stop bothering me."

"Listen, I was the one who gave you food from the very day I entered the camp. After that, we became friends, but you betrayed me. And for whom? For that asshole?" I said, my voice thick with frustration. He started grunting in response.

"See, that's your problem—you can't even hear anything bad about that asshole," I grimaced. Basically, Jack was too loyal to his superior. I mean, he was that loyal—he didn't even try to bark at him when he was on me like a warm blanket. Wait! Wait!!

Did I just compare Ranvijay to a warm blanket? Something was wrong with me. Since the day I came here, my brain cells have stopped functioning properly. Ranvijay is not even like a blanket—bloody asshole. How forcefully he gripped my wrist. I ground my teeth while rubbing my wrist.

Jack sighed, breaking my thoughts. "What?" he leaned his head and kept rubbing against my knee. "I'm not going to forgive you, Jack," I said, being stubborn. He fixed his puppy eyes on me.

"Remember the day you turned your back on me when that asshole was dominating me?" Anger dripped from my words. He tilted his head up and started licking my hand. After that gesture of his, how could I possibly ignore him?

His efforts forced a smile on my face. "You are naughty. I don't know what kind of training your superior gave you." I caressed his head, kneeling before him. "Okay, this time I will forgive you, but next time, I want you to be by my side." I hugged him.

"Kashish, come on, get back to playing," Akshat called out to me. "Yeah, I'm coming!"

We were playing football. My gut feeling told me something was about to happen—a mess. I was the peak point of all disasters. Arjun passed me the ball and asked for a goal. I followed his gaze and kicked the ball with all my strength.

Everyone was shocked by my move. I'm a perfect finisher. "What do you say, guys? Have you ever seen a fire move like this?" I chuckled, and their silence made me turn my head. Their faces had turned pale after my big goal.

"What happened, sir?" I asked Major Arjun, and he started flickering his eyebrows. His flickering eyes were trying to tell me that I had created a mess with my fire goal. I followed his gaze and turned my head. "Fuck."

I gulped my saliva repeatedly. Why always me, god? The moment was giving me anxiety, just like my first day of boarding school. I broke his left eye with my fire move. My body was trembling with fear.

The devil stood in heaven, his hand over his injured eye. He sighed in anger, his clenched fist an indication that I would be dead for sure. Rest in peace! His t-shirt was wet because my kick had broken the hot tea cup near his chest.

"Sir, please save me," I looked over my shoulder. "He will eat me for sure." I turned my gaze back to Arjun. Arjun was the only one in the whole camp who might save me from Ranvijay's wrath. "Never leave a man behind." This is the first rule of the army. But they left me alone.

"Such selfish people," I muttered, feeling betrayed once again after Jack. I turned my pissed-off face and flinched. "Ran... Ranvijay-sir." He stood right behind me. "I-I'm so sorry," I apologized nervously. The moment felt like I had forgotten to complete my homework. His jaw tightened in anger. "Do you have some personal issues with me?" He growled.

I shook my head twice. "Not at all, sir. I didn't hit you purposely. I swear to Deva," I said with a trembling tongue. He stepped forward. "If you didn't do it intentionally, then how did your kick hit my eye exactly?" His voice was filled with wrath. My eyes met the ground. "Sorry, sir. I didn't mean to hurt you," I apologized in a low breath.

I heard his sighs of pain. "Let me see your eye-it's really hurting you", I tried to touch his hand, but he jerked my hands. "Stay away from me, I don't like to be touched by anyone", he groaned. Grumpy man!!.

"You need a therapy session with a psychiatrist, Major," I said. He pinned me with a dead glare. "How could a doctor treat your wound without even touching you?" I said, irritated. "Listen, I'm not in the mood to entertain your lectures," Ranvijay growled before turning his face away.

He is a bipolar man, for sure!! I wonder how hard it would be for his would-be girl to handle him, who is no less than a disaster.
